How to Find and Restore Canceled Events and Deleted Events
Deleted events and canceled events can be restored by an admin. However, deleted or canceled schedules or occurrences on events can not be restored.
Canceled Events
Option 1: Uncancel an Event
Under Events/Event Actions, all users will see an option for Canceled Events. This applies to events that are canceled as a whole, not individual occurrences or schedules.
- Since "Calendar View Only" users do not have access to the left side menu bar, they will not have access to this setting.

There, all users will be able to see all canceled events. Any canceled event can be restored by an admin clicking on one and then choosing the "Restore" option next to the title. All restored events will be placed in a Draft state so they can be re-submitted for approval. Restoring a canceled event will restore ALL occurrences on the event.
- This feature only applies to the event as a whole. If you have a schedule or occurrence on an event that is canceled and you want to restore it, click "Add Occurrence" on the Occurrence tab of the event in order to recreate that occurrence.

Option 2: Copy Canceled Event
All users can go to Events > All Events and filter the status column by "canceled" events, which will bring up any upcoming canceled events.

They can then click on the event name and copy it (by clicking Copy on the Details tab of the event) and then submit that new event for approval and approve it.
Option 3: Look Up Canceled Event Details
All admins can look for canceled events under Settings/Advanced/Notifications. They can search for an event by name.
- The Notifications page only holds 30 days of notifications, so any older than that will no longer be viewable.

Canceled Event Notifications
All admins, event owners, events editors, and event contacts can be notified when an event is canceled as long as they have their notification enabled for "Event Canceled" under their profile icon > My Notifications > Notification Preferences.
- Admins can also go to Settings > Advanced > General > Email Notification and add a list of emails that they want to always be notified when any event is canceled.
Deleted Events
Undelete an Event
Under Events/Event Actions, all users will see an option for Deleted Events. This applies to events that are canceled as a whole, not individual occurrences or schedules.
- Since "Calendar View Only" users do not have access to the left side menu bar, they will not have access to this setting.

There, all users will be able to see all deleted events. Any deleted event can be restored by an admin clicking on one and then choosing the "Restore" option next to the title. All restored events will be placed in a Draft state so they can be re-submitted for approval. Restoring a deleted event will restore ALL occurrences on the event.
- This feature applies to all events that are deleted as of Dec 18, 2024, and moving forward. Any event that was deleted prior to this date can not be restored.
- This feature only applies to the event as a whole. If you have a schedule or occurrence on an event that is deleted and you want to restore it, click "Add Occurrence" on the Occurrence tab of the event in order to recreate that occurrence.
.
Deleted Event Notifications
All admins can go to Settings > Advanced > Notifications and either search by the event name or the word "deleted". There admins can find deleted events and see who all was notified. They can also click on the "View" option to the far right in order to see the details about that event.
- All admins, event owners, and events editors can be notified when an event is deleted as long as they have their notification enabled for "Event Deleted" under their profile icon > My Notifications > Notification Preferences.
- Admins can also go to Settings > Advanced > General > Email Notifications and enable a setting for all sub-admins to get notified when an event with items in their approval area is deleted.
- Deleted events are considered canceled events, as the event is no longer happening, so contacts on events as well as the contacts added to "List of Emails (separated by commas) to be notified upon an Event Cancellation" under Settings > Advanced > General > Email Notifications, will also receive an email about an event being canceled if an eSPACE user deletes it.
- The Notifications page only holds 30 days of notifications, so any older than that will no longer be viewable.

Conflict Detection on a Restored Deleted Event
Once a deleted event has been restore, if that event is in conflict with another event (meaning it has spaces, resources, and/or services that are reserved for the same time and day as another event), the Items > Space or Reosurce or Services tab will show a Conflict message next to specific item that is in conflict.
Ex:

In addition, once the event is submitted for approval and thus changes from a draft status to a Pending status, there will be a conflicts message next to the status showing how many occurrences are in conflict with another event.

You can also see these conflicts on the Occurrences tab and expand individual occurrences to see which specific items are in conflict in order to know what adjustments to make.
