You can currently do that by going to the All Events listing and then filter by the event owner

The benefit of "submitting" a tentative event is that it will show up as a conflict when trying to schedule other events and having tentative as an option allows for the admin to filter and see what is listed as tentative.
Right now I submit a tentative event and type in the word Tentative or hold in the name of the event/schedule.Lauren Francisco supported this idea ·
This is just like what I just submitted. When the user hits submit and goes to check on the status it only displays basic information and not the Item details like you mentioned.
