Updating/changing a recurring event
When there is a recurring weekly event that changes slightly or needs to be adjusted in some way and the event started in the past, it will not allow an adjustment "from this point forward." A person either has to go in and edit each individual event from that point forward, or end the event and create a new one. It would be nice to just make a change "from this point forward."
Adding to this - with the introduction of analytics, this issue, past conflicts, and other things that motivate people to "work around" the system causes me to be pretty skeptical of using analytics to make determinations about our spaces. If old events are just deleted to avoid errors, all historical data is bad. This issue in particular would also make it seem like a resource has been used since the beginning of an event (if users don't just delete past occurrences), again skewing analytics.
Yes! We have had to change a recurring event on Sunday mornings when a classroom needed a video cart for 12 weeks. We had to go into each one and add the video cart. It would have been nice to be able to edit from this time period to this time period. (hope that made sense!) if it is to time consuming, it might just be faster to delete those dates and re-enter....but I don't think so.
