Create an event as normal. 2. Once you reach the "Resources" tab, you will notice that any "Inventoried Items" will look different in the tree views. ![](https://support.espace.cool/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Feb-20-2026-09-05-46-1251-PM.png?width=596&height=393&name=undefined-Feb-20-2026-09-05-46-1251-PM.png) 3\. Just enter the QTY that you need for your event and click Save to save the resource and QTY. - You must enter the quantity first (to the Right) and click **Save** before turning the Toggle on - **see warning:** ![](https://support.espace.cool/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Feb-20-2026-09-06-01-2729-PM.png?width=670&height=168&name=undefined-Feb-20-2026-09-06-01-2729-PM.png) 4\. If you get a "green" check that means your resource is good to go and there are no shortages. 5\. If you click **"See All Shortages"** then only the occurrences with the resources that are overbooked will appear.  2\. There is an option to enter a **Shortage Note** to explain how you will take care of the shortage. - You can also set a NOTE at the event level and it will automatically save across all occurrences.   #### **Events with Shortages on the Dashboard** Users will be able to see the **Resource Shortages** on their dashboard. ![](https://support.espace.cool/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Feb-20-2026-09-06-21-2298-PM.png?width=670&height=114&name=undefined-Feb-20-2026-09-06-21-2298-PM.png)     Admins should be aware that this setting under Settings \> Advanced \> General \> Conflicts does *not* prevent users and sub-admins from submitting and event with overbooked resources.
