[Basic Settings](https://support.espace.cool/espace-knowledge-base/work-order-asset-management?hsLang=en#basic-settings) # Equipment | Add Custom User-Defined Fields to Equipment Pages ## How to add additional fields to the equipment page **Admins** have the ability to add custom "User-Defined Fields" to a work order requests OR equipment, based on one or multiple Service Categories. - 1\. Then choose "**Add New User Defined Field**" ![](https://support.espace.cool/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Feb-20-2026-09-19-51-9569-PM.png?width=670&height=123&name=undefined-Feb-20-2026-09-19-51-9569-PM.png) - 3\. Start adding your "user defined field" to a piece of **equipment.**   - 4\. If you choose to add a user-defined field to **equipment**, simply: - A. Add the **name** of the user-defined field, - B. Associate the **service categories,** - C. Toggle on **"Is Active"** - D.
